D2S is a factory HID (xenon) bulb code. No igniter in the base (separate igniter); 85 V xenon (contains mercury). The ShinVea DX300 is an LED plug-and-play replacement made in a D2S version.

Fitting notes
D2S uses the P32d-2 base. No igniter in the base (separate igniter). Original D2S capsules are 85 V xenon (contains mercury). Always match the code printed on the old bulb: D1S/D3S and D2S/D4S look similar but are keyed differently, and D5S/D8S are compact formats.
