D1S is a factory HID (xenon) bulb code. Igniter built into the bulb base; 85 V xenon (contains mercury). The ShinVea DX300 is an LED plug-and-play replacement made in a D1S version.

D1S uses the PK32d-2 base. Igniter built into the bulb base. Original D1S capsules are 85 V xenon (contains mercury). Always match the code printed on the old bulb: D1S/D3S and D2S/D4S look similar but are keyed differently, and D5S/D8S are compact formats.
